St. Petersburg Accommodation Options
Knowing that our students have differing needs and interests, we offer several accommodation options in St. Petersburg. The various options available are all easily accessible from the Liden & Denz St. Petersburg campus.
Special dietary requirements need to be communicated by the time of booking, but will not incur any additional costs.
All accommodation options in St. Petersburg have been inspected by a member of staff. It is our accommodation officer’s aim to match our student’s needs and interests as closely as possible.
Some students prefer to stay with friends in St. Petersburg or would like to organise their own accommodation, which is fine. In that case however, we cannot provide our courtesy arrival transfers.
If you have additional questions:
Home-stay (Host Family)
What is a host family? Our host families are not always a traditional married couple with children. Above all we look for someone who is sociable, likes to meet new people and gives a warm welcome to our students. Our host families have time to talk to students, are patient and understanding. They are prepared to provide help with any problem that may arise during a student’s stay in St. Petersburg.
The fee always includes private accommodation in St. Petersburg with a single room, either with breakfast or half-board (breakfast and dinner). It is also possible to request double rooms.
The rooms are clean and, by Russian standards, spacious. Bathroom and kitchen are shared with the family.
Accommodation in host families is calculated from Sunday to Sunday and arrival day in St. Petersburg must be Sunday. For students arriving earlier than Sunday, additional fees will apply. Five or more additional days are equivalent to one week.

St. Petersburg Studio-apartments
Students wishing maximum privacy often opt for a studio. Based on budget and individual requirements, our accommodation officer will suggest several options reasonably close to our St. Petersburg campus. Apartments in the city centre and close to Liden & Denz are pricier than apartments outside the centre. We suggest our students to book any studio-apartment in St. Petersburg at the same time as booking their Russian language course and not wait until the last moment.

“Great family with great breakfast. Every morning I had different breakfast to get to know the whole Russian breakfast cuisine. The family was very nice, friendly and helped me a lot. Every evening we had tea and cookies together. Very-very nice family! I will miss them a lot.”
In my host family we had good conversations in Russian language. Anna and Andrej were very welcoming and helpful, took me to school the first day, explained all important things and even spent a Saturday with me to show me Zarskoje Selo. Anna’s Russian food was delicious! I really felt at home with them. Our school city tour on first day with Tonya was interesting and very good for a first impression.”
