Liden & Denz staff visits Riga and Jurmala!

23 October 2013

Last weekend was all Riga! 25 staff members of Liden & Denz St. Petersburg and Moscow plus key staff from our sister company Swiss House of Travel descended onto the Latvian capital on Saturday to meet an enthusiastic Riga team, lead by charismatic and charming Nora Poisa. For many of us, it was the first trip to Latvia, so sightseeing was understandably high on the agenda, starting at the famous and nearby beach resort of Jurmala. Back in town, group workshops on customer service and digital marketing were followed by a a very special welcome reception at the new Riga centre. Delicious food was prepared by Nora and her team and of course no reception in Riga can do without the herbal liquor Black Balsam and the very tasty Riga sprats! Sightseeing dominated the next morning and there really was a lot to see. The historical city centre is a protected UNESCO world heritage site packed with architectural gems revealing interesting and sometimes troubling stories about Riga’s turbulent history, going back over 800 years. Back at the airport, we all felt that Riga and Jurmala were indeed great places to learn Russian. All welcome at the new Liden & Denz Language Centre Riga! Photos of the Riga Famtrip: this way! Bookings for the Liden & Denz Language Centre Riga are now open!
