An alternative evening at Mishka Bar

13 August, 2013

Mishka Bar (Бар Мишка) is a very nice place to spend your evening at and to have a good time in the city centre. It is located on the bank of Fontanka river (Набережная реки Фонтанки), and it’s one of the best places to go after a walk at twilight.

It consists of two rooms, decorated with a hipster style. One is inspired by the 80’s, with fairy lights and dance music from that decade. You will surely find yourselves tapping your feet at the rhythm of Michael Jackson and Madonna. The other room instead features hand-made decorations and some comfortable sofas where you can sit and have a drink.

The name of the bar is inspired by Youtube celebrity Mishka, the talking husky. The bar features other curiosities as well, like “creative” translations from Russian to English in the toilet. You will feel yourself at ease with the music, the many colours and the alternative clients of Mishka bar. The vast alcoholic assortment is also worth a look (and a try as well): there are many cocktails and shots which you could drink, and some have really strange ingredients, like tabasco. You will also love dancing there at the weekend, when the bar is more crowded.

Make sure you don’t miss Mishka bar and its friendly bartenders. The alternative and old-school music spun by the DJ will make it impossible for you not to come again.
