Deciding on learning Russian in Irkutsk is a fateful decision itself, therefore it is important for a student to choose comfortable accommodation that has the right atmosphere, fits the budget, and serves as a solid base for exploring the Siberan region. At Liden & Denz we understand that every student has their own requirements, wishes and expectations, and therefore we offer various accommodation options.
Our accommodation officer will assist students in choosing the right option to get the most from their experience of learning Russian in Irkutsk. Any issues like special dietary requirements should be discussed before arrival and will not incur additional costs, except for early arrival and late departure.
All accommodation options provided have easy access to and from Liden & Denz Irkutsk campus and are within walking distance to the shops, cafes, Angara River, and all main attractions of this picturesque city in the heart of Siberia.
What exactly is a host family? It is a local family, either traditional married couple with kids or a single parent or even a childless elderly couple, willing to welcome people from around the globe to their household. Our host families are handpicked to ensure that students will immediately feel the famous siberian hospitality. Our hosts are patient and understanding when students are not yet confident when practicing their Russian language skills.
Students have their own bedroom and share kitchen and bathroom with the hosts. One can choose between breakfast only and a half-board option (breakfast and dinner).
Standard check-in/check-out is on Sundays. A daily rate is also available if you need to prolong your stay, and 5+ extra days are equivalent to one week.
If a student is looking for privacy the best option is renting a studio apartment. Liden & Denz accommodation officer will help to find the right place that suits your budget and wishes before arrival to Irkutsk.
The apartments around the Liden & Denz campus are a bit more expensive than the options further from the city center.
We recommend booking your accommodation immediately or soon after the language course has been booked to secure the best option.

“Great family with great breakfast. Every morning I had different breakfast to get to know the whole Russian breakfast cuisine. The family was very nice, friendly and helped me a lot. Every evening we had tea and cookies together. Very-very nice family! I will miss them a lot.”
“In my host family we had good conversations in Russian language. Anna and Andrej were very welcoming and helpful, took me to school the first day, explained all important things and even spent a Saturday with me to show me Zarskoje Selo. Anna’s Russian food was delicious! I really felt at home with them. Our school city tour on first day with Tonya was interesting and very good for a first impression.”
