Riga Accommodation Options
When learning Russian in Riga it is important to have accommodation that suits your needs and budget, is comfortable and has the right atmosphere. At Liden & Denz we understand that every student has his own requirements and expectations, and therefore we offer several accommodation options.
A dedicated staff-member inspects all accommodation options on a regular basis. Our accommodation officer puts every effort to match each particular student's needs and interests as closely as possible.
The various options available are easily accessible from Liden & Denz campus and Riga Old Town.
If you prefer to stay with friends or in your own accommodation, it is also fine. But you won't benefit from our free pick-up service provided with host family and shared flat packages.
If you have additional questions:
Homestay (Host Family) Riga
Living with a host family ensures total immersion into Russian language and places you in a local context. Our host families are handpicked to ensure that students will immediately feel right at home. Our families come from different backgrounds but all are sociable, genuinely interested in meeting new people, patient and understanding when students are not yet confident when practicing their Russian language skills.
Students have their own bedroom with all necessary amenities and can choose between breakfast only and a half-board (breakfast and dinner) option. Any dietary requirements will be taken into consideration at the time of booking at no extra charge.
Executive host families are located closer to the Liden & Denz campus and the rooms are generally more spacious. In our host families of both categories, bathrooms are either shared with the family or maybe en-suite at a surcharge.
Accommodation in host families is calculated from Sunday to Sunday and arrival day in Riga must be Sunday. For students arriving earlier than Sunday, additional fees will apply. Five or more additional days are equivalent to one week.
Shared flats rates
Riga Studio Apartments
Students wishing maximum privacy often opt for a studio. Based on your budget and individual requirements our accommodation officer will suggest several reasonably priced options close to the campus to choose from.
We recommend booking your accommodation immediately or soon after the language course has been booked to secure the best option.

“The family was very engaged and friendly, I instantly felt at home. They treated me like I was part of the family.”
“My host family was very accommodating and helped me with my Russian whenever I needed. They were incredibly nice and made me feel like I was part of a family. I would love to live with them again, and I keep in touch with them through email.”
“Great family with great breakfast. Every morning I had different breakfast to get to know the whole Russian breakfast cuisine. The family was very nice, friendly and helped me a lot. Every evening we had tea and cookies together. Very-very nice family! I will miss them a lot.”
In my host family we had good conversations in Russian language. Anna and Andrej were very welcoming and helpful, took me to school the first day, explained all important things and even spent a Saturday with me to show me Zarskoje Selo. Anna’s Russian food was delicious! I really felt at home with them. Our school city tour on first day with Tonya was interesting and very good for a first impression.”
