Moscow by Bus!
10 November, 2014
Moscow is a massive and sometimes intimidating city and can pose some difficulties to those who want to get around and see all the wonderful sights that Moscow has to offer. Of course, understanding and using the metro makes Moscow a pretty simple city to get around, but the metro stations are tremendous works of art and deserve a tour all unto themselves. Besides, you miss a lot of the city if you spend your whole day underground, only popping out from the tunnels to gawk at a building for a few minutes, before retreating back to the metro to continue your journey.
There is, however, an alternative! An excellent service in Moscow exists in the form of the Hop on – Hop off Official City Tour, the rates for a single day, for either a student or an adult are only 500 and 600 rubles, respectively, and enable you to see the city in an entirely different way from simply traveling the metro, and allow you to cover a lot more ground than you could by foot. In addition to this, the nature of the tour allows for you to simply get off your bus, and if you like the place you’re at, spend as much time as you want there, and simply wait for the next bus! The freedom and flexibility of this system, combined with the affordability and convenience of being able to stay as long or as little as you’d like at any given destination, make this tour an extremely enticing offer for newcomers to Moscow, and those who want to see the city from a different perspective than most people who visit the Russian capital do.
The tours are conducted in 8 different languages; English, Russian, German, Spanish, French, Chinese, Italian, and Arabic. This makes the tour not only convenient for sight-seeing, but also for those who want to learn a little about the places they are visiting, but aren’t fully comfortable with the Russian language yet.
