Sochi Fever Continues

If you didn’t manage to go to Sochi for the Winter Olympics 2014 to see all the athletes in action, here’s your change to meet actual Olympians!

Over the next few weeks, you’ll have to opportunity to meet and greet athletes like bobsled team member Kirill Antyukh, curling team member Pyotr Dron and speed skater Artyom Kuznetsov!

You can meet them at Gloss Cafe on Nevsky Prospect, during Champion Weeks, and first to arrive was speed skater Sofia Prosvirnova, who met with fans to sign autographs, take photos and answer questions about competing at such a high level. According to managers of the cafe, Champion Weeks is the perfect opportunity to learn about winter sports, that may have not been particularly well explained during the Olympic and Paralympic games.

On Friday, head along and meet skeleton racer Maria Orlova at 5pm.

For even more Sochi fun, make sure you go to the Ice Palace arena, where SKA, the local hockey team play, on the 31st of March, to see the best of Team Russia’s figure skaters, who’ll put on a show to celebrate their Olympic success.
