The Imperial Russia Train from Moscow to Vladivostok
Russian Railway Tours has launched a brand new luxury class train route from Moscow to Vladivostok.
The first Imperial Russia train departed from Moscow on 24 July and completed its route on 6 August, with passengers from around the world on board for the inaugural journey. Travelers on the Imperial Russia line are treated to the utmost in comfort: spacious sleeper compartments with imperial style decorations, and multiple recreation cars, including a bar car, dining car, and piano lounge.
A special excursion program has been created for this new Trans-Siberian Railway tour route.
This uniquely Russian experience begins in Moscow, with an organized tour of the Kremlin, a stroll down the Arbat, and a ride on the famous Moscow metro, stopping to admire several stations along the way. In Kazan, travelers discover the restored historical center of the city and learn the “Secrets of Tatar Cuisine” in a culinary master class.
The next stop is Yekaterinburg, where the Romanov dynasty met its tragic end; fittingly, the tour program here is devoted to the history of the Romanovs. In Novosibirsk the tour participants visit the Opera and Ballet Theatre, one of the most important theaters in Siberia. In Irkutsk, the tour explores the Irkutsk Sloboda quarter, an enchanting neighborhood of reconstructed 19th- and 20th-century buildings.
Lake Baikal, the deepest lake in the world, is sure to be a highlight of everyone’s trip. The group travels by the Circum-Baikal Railway to Port Baikal, and then boards a boat to the Listvyanka settlement on the shores of Lake Baikal. Sightseeing and spectacular views await!
After Lake Baikal, the tour continues with visits to the Ivolginsky Datsan church and a traditional Buryat yurt in Ulan-Ude, a matryoshka doll master class in Khabarovsk, and a city tour at the final destination, Vladivostok.
The 15-day west-east tour package starts at 5.150 euros per person for a two-bed compartment. On 3 August a tour set off in the opposite direction – from Vladivostok to Moscow – and will reach the end on 15 August.
